Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah win dramatic Coppa Italia final with Juventus

United States men’s national team stars Weston McKennie and Timothy Weah helped Juventus win the club’s 15th Coppa Italia title with both players featuring in a 1-0 victory vs. Atalanta on Wednesday.

Despite seeking the trophy for the 15th time, Juventus were the underdogs coming into the match against an Atalanta side seeking their first Coppa Italia since 1963.

Juventus haven’t had the best 2024 so far with a rough stretch of games, failing to win their previous six heading into the final.

Manchester City one win away from historic fourth-straight Premier League title

LONDON — Erling Haaland's double put Manchester City within touching distance of an unprecedented fourth successive Premier League title as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 away on Tuesday.

The Norwegian tapped home his side's opener early in the second half and settled City's nerves in stoppage time when he blasted home a penalty for his 27th league goal of the season.

City had failed to earn a point or score a goal in their first four league visits to Tottenham's new stadium but ended that jinx in timely fashion to the joy of their supporters.

Inter Miami’s Matías Rojas scores Messi-esque free-kick to inspire comeback win

Inter Miami shook off a two-goal first-half deficit Saturday night to stun host CF Montreal 3-2.

Miami (8-2-3, 27 points) fell behind early after allowing two goals in a 10-minute span in the first half, but it rallied to tie the match before halftime. In the 59th minute, Inter Miami took the lead on a goal from Benjamin Cremaschi.

Cremaschi scored after a Miami counterattack. After running a few yards, Matias Rojas lifted a left-footed pass over the Montreal back line, and Cremaschi overcame a poor first touch to roll the ball past the keeper and into the back of the net.

Despite being second in the league Milan haven’t had the best end to their season. The Italian side failed to win their previous six games, manager Stefano Pioli announced he’s leaving at the end of the season and the ultras are boycotting and not attending games at San Siro.

LEVERKUSEN — Bayer Leverkusen staged a stunning late comeback to move into the Europa League final with a 2-2 draw at home against AS Roma on Thursday as they won 4-2 on aggregate and set the longest unbeaten run in all competitions including European matches.

Bundesliga champions Leverkusen, who have also reached this month's German Cup final as they chase a treble, played their 49th match without defeat to surpass Benfica's record set from 1963–65 but they had to battle for the second leg draw.
